José Hidalgo Camacho joins this exciting challenge as technical director of the winery group comprised of the two Penedès Houses led by winemaker Toni Cantos: Juvé & Camps, producer of long-aged sparkling wines, and Propiedad de Espiells, of still wines, as well such as Pagos de Anguix, the most recent of the three wineries located in the Ribera del Duero, which has the strategic and viticultural support of José Manuel Pérez Ovejas. In turn, he will coordinate the viticulture work of all the projects, led by Pep Jiménez.
The arrival of the new technician has excited the team formed by Toni Cantos, Pep Jiménez and José Manuel Pérez Ovejas, who have recognized his deep winemaking knowledge and innovative vision. They are convinced – they affirm – that their incorporation will further enhance the prestige for which they have worked since their inception, ensuring the maintenance of the standards of excellence that characterize them: organic vineyards, respectful viticulture and top quality productions.

José Hidalgo, engineer and prestigious winemaker, has extensive national and international experience, having developed his career in Napa Valley and acquired knowledge and experience in renowned wineries in the sector. Today, with more than 18 years of experience, the Rioja native promises to join forces, leading the already cohesive team to maintain its reputation over the years and its highest quality standards.
