One of the highlights of the 34th edition of Salón Gourmets, held between October 18 and 21 in Madrid, has been the Spanish sommelier championship (organized by the Union of Spanish Sommelier Associations; UAES). On the occasion of its 26th edition, the sensitivity and organoleptic precision of experts from all corners of the country have been put to the test once again.
We want to highlight the participation of Anna Casabona, sommelier of Juvé & Camps, who has been among the 10 best contestants at the state level. In this way, she shows that she is still in shape, after winning a second place in the Contest for the Best Sommelier in Catalonia in 2019.
Thanks to specialists of this caliber (Anna Casabona has a degree in viticulture and oenology from the Rovira i Virgili University and currently combines her work at Juvé & Camps with university teaching focused on her field of specialization), it is not surprising that the different proposals of cavas and wines offer very rich and varied organoleptic sensations by advising and guiding the option that best suits the palate of each client.
