Spring is a very special time for the vineyards of Juvé & Camps: the vines, still dormant from the winter cold, begin to awaken. It is the time of bud break, one of the most delicate and exciting phases of the grapevine’s vegetative cycle.
From the buds, which are the small reserve organs that the plant formed the previous year, the first green shoots emerge. Each one can give rise to leaves, tendrils, and, most importantly, future clusters of grapes.
At Juvé & Camps, we experience this moment with special excitement. Our 100% organic vineyards of the Penedès are the soul of our wines and sparkling wines. We practice regenerative and conscious viticulture. Throughout the year, we apply techniques such as respectful pruning, which harmonizes with the natural balance of the vine, and encourage spontaneous vegetation cover, which protects the soil and enriches its biodiversity.
Our commitment is also reflected in the protection of the environment: streams, ravines, forests, and dry-stone walls not only beautify the landscape but are part of the ecosystem that nourishes our vineyards. Preserving these elements is preserving the identity and character of our wines and sparkling wines.
