This hundred-year-old winery invites all wine lovers to explore its cellars and vineyards by taking part in a variety of wine tourism experiences that are tailor-made to suit a range of different visitors.
Watch the disgorging of bottles being done by hand, savour an aperitif in the vineyards, enjoy a bite to eat on the terrace or taste any of the wines at the wine bar. These are just some of the activities on offer at the winery’s facilities in Sant Sadurní d’Anoia.
“Thanks to our cavas, we have played a key part in some of the most special moments in our customers’ homes for over 100 years. Now it is time for us to open the doors of Juvé & Camps and show our customers who we are.” This is the message they are sending to all wine and sparkling wine enthusiasts who want to experience the company’s new wine tourism activities. Juvé & Camps have designed customised tours for each type of visitor; from the wine connoisseurs who want to understand more about how their wine is made, to the more hedonistic consumers and lovers of nature and the countryside. There is a comprehensive range of activities on offer, designed to suit everyone’s tastes and schedule and make the experience an unforgettable one for all.
One of the most exciting new developments is that the Juvé & Camps Wine Bar is going to be open all year round, with the Finca d’Espiells Terrace open during the summer months. These are spaces where you will be able to sit, taste and enjoy Juvé & Camps, Propietat d’Espiells and Pagos de Anguix wines, together with a selection of local, gourmet offerings.
Juvé & Camps are currently offering three different wine tourism itineraries as well as a customised option, in which each client designs their own itinerary according to their individual interests, time and budget.
The Gran Reserva Tour is designed for wine lovers who want to delve into the depths of winemaking and learn about the process of ageing in horizontal riddling racks and the disgorging of bottles of sparkling wine. This shows the important role that time and silence play in the production of excellent wine.
This hour and a half visit includes a guided tour of the cellars, watching the artisan disgorgement of a bottle of sparkling wine and tasting a Gran Reserva house cava amongst the riddling racks. It ends with a tasting of three of Juvé & Camps’ best long-aged cavas, paired with an appetizer of local products.
The Premium Tour is a private visit designed for groups of two to six people. It includes a tour of the hundred-year-old cellars, learning about the fascinating history of the winery and the importance of time and craftsmanship as a way of working. The exclusive La Capella space, where the best Juvé & Camps sparkling wines are stored, will be open for visitors to experience it and taste some of the finest wines that are kept there. This visit also includes a tasting of the wines in the riddling racks, the disgorging and tasting of a Gran Reserva cava, and a pairing of top-of-the- range cavas with some gourmet offerings.
Nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts also have the opportunity to discover Juvé & Camps through its vineyards with the Terroir Tour, a cultural stroll through the vineyards of the Espiells estate learning about the importance of the land and ecological viticulture and what it involves. This tour includes a picnic in the vineyard before embarking on a journey into the world of ageing, touring the century-old cellars of Sant Sadurní, watching the disgorging process and tasting the house’s premium cavas.
For visitors who prefer a customised option, Juvé & Camps offer other activities such as e-bike routes through the vineyard, picnics amongst the vines, pruning, fun tastings, an introductory tasting course, yoga in the vineyard, castellers and escape rooms. These are just some of the many options available and you can find out about more about them and create your own itinerary by contacting the winery directly.
Juvé & Camps also have ad hoc itineraries and spaces for holding MICE, private and corporate events, team building activities, presentations, etc. For such events please contact the wine tourism team, headed by Marian Hernando.
