Crafted from 100% Xarel·lo grapes grown in the winery’s oldest vineyard and aged for a minimum of 150 months, Juvé & Camps La Capella 2011 celebrates Penedès as the land of premium, long- aged Brut Nature sparkling wines.

Juvé & Camps introduces a new vintage of its distinguished La Capella vineyard, a sparkling wine made entirely from Xarel·lo grapes sourced from the winery’s oldest vines, planted in 1981. This exclusive sparkling wine has been aged for over 12 years, with only 3,612 bottles to be released, each disgorged on demand and without the addition of dosage.

Located beside the Espiells winery on sandy-loam soils that are nutrient-poor and shallow, at an altitude of 210 metres above sea level, La Capella is an exceptional seven-hectare south-facing vineyard. Only the oldest plot, a 0.7-hectare area of bush-trained vines, is dedicated to crafting this singular sparkling wine that bears its name.

This remarkable Xarel·lo vineyard, with nearly fifty years of history, has become a treasured symbol of Catalonia’s winegrowing heritage.

The 2011 vintage benefited from a consistent rainfall pattern, with abundant winter and spring rains, and lower precipitation during the ripening period. Mild temperatures in spring and summer fostered an excellent-quality harvest. Although cultivation was already organic by 2011, certification wasn’t officially granted until the 2015 harvest.

A sparkling wine to fall in love with

Since its first vintage, Juvé & Camps La Capella has received acclaim from both national and international critics, earning scores of 95 or higher in Decanter, Wine Anorak-Jamie Goode, Gault Millau, and Miquel Hudin, among others. Recently released, the 2011 vintage has already secured a top ranking in the prestigious Guía Peñín 2025, while the 2010 vintage was awarded the title of Best Sparkling Wine in the SEVI Guide 2024 and Best Wine in the Guia de Vins de Catalunya 2025, achieving the highest score among more than 1,200 wines.
