In the privileged landscape of the Penedès, Juvé & Camps conceives the land as a living organism, in constant dialogue with its natural cycles.
This vision translates into a firm commitment to organic viticulture, developed on 252 hectares of certified vineyard, within a total of 400 hectares of land, making the property one of the most important ecological estates in the area.
Organic Vineyards in the Penedès
The philosophy of the house, started in the 1950s and reinforced from the 1980s with specific environmental measures, is carried out in emblematic estates such as Espiells, Mediona, and Cuscona.
There, viticulture is conceived from a holistic perspective that integrates natural and human factors, prioritizing biodiversity, the continuity of the food chain, and the natural regeneration of the soils.
“The best way to manage the vineyard is to maintain its balance,” says Meritxell Juvé, fourth generation at the head of the winery.
Vineyard Naturalization and Regenerative Practices
The viticulture director, Pep Jiménez, explains that at Juvé & Camps they have been practicing “vineyard naturalization” for decades, a set of tasks aligned with natural cycles.
This includes conserving fertile soils, the respect pruning to protect sap flows, and safeguarding the health of the vines, promoting healthy and resilient plants.

Biodiversity and Ecosystem Care
Protection of the environment is carried out through actions such as installing shelters for insects and birds, regenerating soils, conserving native species, and using natural techniques for pest control, such as mating disruption.
Burrows are respected, landscapes are reforested, and collaboration with local shepherds ensures that their flocks help keep the vineyard clean and fertilize the soil.
The remaining hectares—rivers, forests, and fields—complete a harmonious ecosystem that integrates the vineyard into its surroundings.
Commitment to Sustainability
The Juvé family has worked with a sustainable vision that combines tradition, technical knowledge, and respect for nature.
Organic viticulture at Juvé & Camps not only produces grapes of exceptional quality but also protects the balance of the Penedès landscape, ensuring that their vineyards remain an example of harmony between humans and nature.
At Juvé & Camps, organic viticulture is more than a method: it is a philosophy that connects the landscape, the land, the plant, and the grape.
A testimony to their commitment to sustainability, biodiversity, and quality, where each vine grows in a living, balanced, and respected ecosystem.
A model of viticulture that demonstrates that respect for nature and excellence in wine can always go hand in hand.
