Originally from the French region of Burgundy, located in the center-northeast of this country, the Pinot Noir grape variety is cultivated in countless vineyards throughout the world: USA, New Zealand, Australia, Italy, Chile… In the specific case of Spain, most of the Pinot Noir production is focused in Catalonia.
In Champagne and other regions with a clear winemaking tradition, such as the Penedès area, the Pinot Noir grape is used to make sparkling wines, collected within the extensive catalogue of Juvé & Camps premium cavas.
If you plan to honour your guests, in your most special and endearing celebrations, here we present a trio of winning aces from the Juvé & Camps winery:
Reserva de la Familia Rosé, centennial sensitivity
The extreme sensitivity that the Pinot Noir grape shows to elements such as the singularity of the terroir in which it grows, the frosts and winds that it supports, and the pruning techniques and fermentation methods to which it is subjected, makes it possible to obtain unique results such as in the case of the Juvé & Camps Reserva de la Familia Rosé.
Made from 30-year-old vines, it is the culmination of a courageous and pioneering choice that began in 1976, when this iconic Juvé & Camps cava was born. Its pale pink color and incessant bubbles, combined with intense aromas of ripe red fruits, wild berries and bouquet flowers, will leave you with a creamy and round finish.
Sublime delicacy in the Milesimé Blanc de Noirs
The cavas based on the Pinot Noir grape are among the most elegant proposals, although their cultivation and vinification process is quite complex and delicate. Like the sophisticated pressing process of this Gran Reserva cava, which is the only way to obtain the purest juice of the Pinot Noir grapes.
Endowed with a singular and attractive personality, in the Milesimé Blanc de Noirs an amalgamation of red and crunchy, ripe and fresh fruit takes a main role. This graceful and captivating sparkling wine never leaves you indifferent.
La Siberia, magical combination of a forest and a stream
The genesis of the Gran Reserva Brut Nature cava is found in small and extremely tight Pinot Noir grape berries, showing as a whole a cylindrical-conical shape that resembles a pineapple.
La Siberia grows in an exceptional and unique setting on the Espiells estate, surrounded by a forest and a stream, located in the coldest part of the eponymous estate of this Juvé & Camps cava (which gives rise to its name). Thanks to a special microclimate, (winter with more intense cold and summer endowed with fresh air due to the existence of a nearby torrent) an exquisite rosé sparkling wine is obtained with a slow effervescence that fills the glass with strings of tiny bubbles that, upon reaching the surface form a stable crown.
If you are a lover of the Pinot Noir grape -and the rest of the varieties-, do not hesitate, your best choice is in Juvé & Camps.
